Duck Tape Necklace

Well, I am going to attempt to put a picture of the duck tape necklace for everyone to see.. Would love to have your opinion or comments about it. Looking at it would you automatically know what it was made of. Working with duck tape is time consuming and of course its not an easy thing to use, but I am mastering it better each time I create something.

Jewelry Shows

Well, I have been so busy these days creating my own one of a kind designs, that I have decided to do the craft booth selling. circut. This saturday I will be at the Octoberfest in Dekalb, Texas from 8 to 5 showing what I have made and hoping someone will love it and purchase something from me. I have over 100 pairs of earrings, denim bracelets, dominos pendants, necklaces, bracelets and two of my uniquespaper clip and duck tape necklaces. So if you have nothing to do on Saturday, come on out to the Octoberfest festival in DeKalb, Texas.

Past Weekend

Enjoyed Saturday at the Scrapbook Convention and wore my new shabby sheik duck tape necklace and was amazed at the reaction of the people. I got great reviews from it and most knew it was made out of duck tape and paper clips when they looked at it closely. I had one lady wanting me to come to her store and do a class on how to make it. I hope I can work on some new designs this week and see what I can create. Thought I would put a few more pictures of some of the other things I have made. And of course, everything is for sale.

Necklace

Well, I saw a blog and a lady had posted a picture of a necklace that sold for $168.00, so she decided she would try to make her own and she did it for around $26.00. Well, I only had grey duck tape and picked up a box of paper clips at Walmart for $1.22 and proceeded to make the necklace. It was fun, but time consuming as it took me a few hours to figure out how to do the paper clips and how to cut my duck tape. I made a pattern for the duck tape, cut it with scissors and was on my way to this new creation. I thought that it needed a little more embellishing, so I added some. I really like the way it turned out.Going to wear it at the Scrapbook Convention this saturday in Arlington, so I hope I get reviews on it. Post a comment and tell me what you think. It looks like it is a bronze color but it really is grey with silver and grey black beads.

Cricut covers

I thought that I would make a cover for my cricut expresssion since it is an electronic machine and dust can get into it, so I needed to cover it to protect my expensive machine.

Grandson

My daughter Amy called a while ago and said that Baby Jack rolled over today. Wow he is growing so fast, April 20th he will be 4 months old. Hard to believe he is already doing the cute stuff that babies do. He is having some problems with reflux but changing his formula may help him and hopefully be able to sleep better, as mom and dad are not getting the sleep they need either. How well I remember those days of being a new parent and not getting much sleep and so wanting them to sleep all night. Still recovering from my car wreck almost 2 weeks ago. Slammed my car into a concrete block they had recently installed in the shopping area where I get my nails done. Was not marked and not visible and I plowed right into it, hitting my sternum and head. Had an xray and nothing broke or cracked, but I have had much pain and discomfort and think it will take weeks before my soreness and tenderness leaves. Thankful I was not hurt worse. Car still in shop, hope to get it next week.
